Guidelines, Tasks, and Expectations
The Middle East Institute offers a small number of Research Assistantships with MEI Adjunct Scholars. MEI provides a venue for scholars and senior policy analysts of diverse backgrounds and nationalities to work on contemporary issues regarding the region. Our Scholars are frequently sought by the media for their expertise and balanced analyis. In 2007, MEI and its Scholars were cited in more than 450 US and foreign publications and spoke to nearly half a million Americans through speaking engagements at universities, community organizations, and interfaith groups across the US.
Resarch Assistant interns assist our Scholars with their current research and writing projects. In exceptional cases, interns have attended high-level briefings and co-authored articles with their Scholars.
All RAs are required to work at least 20 hours/ week on the MEI grounds and are subject to all other intern duties.
